To be an artist who is inspired by God, the great Creator; to experience the diversity and adventure of working with clay in an intimate expression of coils and slabs (handbuilding); to see it enrich the lives of others as a “one of a kind” creation is what it means to me.
Coming from a heritage of farmers, cattle and horsemen, as well as artists (painting and wood sculpting) it is a very natural expression that a few classes have enhanced for me. Since 1985 art has been a very important part of my life, leaving me with a deep sense of gratitude and fulfillment. Every piece has a statement to make and speaks to each and everyone. That is very awesome!
